Key Responsibilities: Monitoring and Operation:Observing variations in operating conditions, reading meters and gauges, and adjusting equipment to maintain optimal treatment levels. Equipment Maintenance:Inspecting, maintaining, and repairing pumps, valves, filters, and other plant equipment. Chemical Handling:Adding chemicals like chlorine, ammonia, or lime to disinfect and deodorize wastewater. Sampling and Testing:Collecting and testing water samples to monitor water quality parameters such as pH, chlorine residual, and dissolved oxygen. Record Keeping:Maintaining detailed records of plant operations, equipment maintenance, and test results. Compliance:Ensuring adherence to environmental regulations and safety standards. Troubleshooting:Diagnosing and resolving operational issues or equipment malfunctions. Collaboration:Interacting with supervisors, coworkers, and other relevant personnel to ensure efficient plant operations. Training:Assisting in the training of other plant personnel. Essential Skills: Technical Proficiency:Understanding of wastewater treatment processes, equipment operation, and maintenance procedures. Analytical Skills:Ability to interpret data, analyze test results, and identify potential problems. Problem-Solving:Capacity to diagnose and resolve operational issues effectively.
