I’ve noticed over the years that new tools pop up almost every few months, and some disappear just as quickly. I once bookmarked three different sites for downloads, and within half a year, only one was still alive. Do you think the competition actually pushes them to get better, or does it just make the whole scene unstable because everyone is fighting for a piece of the pie?
From what I’ve seen, competition does make the reliable ones stand out. I used to bounce between random services, but the ones that survived longer always improved features, like faster processing or cleaner layouts. I ended up sticking with download IG video for free since it’s consistent and doesn’t feel sketchy. The weaker ones just fade away, so in the end, competition kind of cleans up the space and leaves only the better options.
Whenever a market gets crowded with similar tools, it usually means constant updates, small tweaks, and new features appear more quickly than they would if there were only one or two players. As a user, it’s not a bad thing at all, because you end up with services that keep improving just to stay relevant. The downside is the uncertainty with newcomers, since you never know which ones will actually last long enough to trust.
