Hey guys! Recently I noticed that some big international games that are super popular worldwide don’t really catch on in India. I got curious and found this article: https://businessconnectindia.in/why-global-game-studios-fail-in-india/. It explains things like how internet access, device limitations, and player habits can affect a game’s success. I remember downloading a well-known global title, but it drained my phone battery and used too much data, so I deleted it pretty quickly. Do you think technical factors like this are just as important as pricing and marketing?

That’s actually a great point. A lot of global studios underestimate how important optimization is for different devices and network conditions. In many regions, players don’t have high-end phones or stable internet, so heavy games struggle to keep users engaged. I’ve seen people drop games not because they’re bad, but because they just don’t run smoothly. On top of that, if the game doesn’t feel accessible or convenient, players will move on quickly. So yeah, technical performance plays a huge role alongside everything else.

Just came across this thread and it’s pretty interesting. It shows how success in one market doesn’t guarantee success everywhere. There are so many small factors that can influence how people interact with a product. Even outside gaming, things like performance and accessibility can make or break user experience. It’s cool to see these discussions because they highlight how complex global markets really are.
