Yeah, I’ve heard about VR esports becoming a thing, and it’s wild to think about. It’s like we’re getting esports but in a fully immersive environment. Betting on those events could definitely make it even more exciting! If the tournaments grow and attract bigger audiences, I can see this becoming a big niche in the esports world. I just hope it doesn’t get too saturated too fast.
That’s the thing, isn’t it? VR does require a lot of setup, and it’s definitely not something you can just “pick up and play” on a whim. But I think as the technology improves, it’ll become more streamlined. Imagine having a lightweight, wireless headset that doesn’t need a powerful PC to run games. That’s the dream. If they can make it easy and affordable, VR could definitely take off. And it’s not just for gaming—there are so many other areas like virtual fitness or education that could use VR.
Exactly! VR gaming has to be built from the ground up, with gameplay designed specifically for the medium. It’s not just about putting the same game in a VR headset. It needs to feel right. Take Half-Life: Alyx, for example—it’s built to be a VR experience from the start, and that makes it stand out. I think we’ll see a lot more titles like that in the future. If they keep developing unique VR experiences, it won’t just be a gimmick.
I think VR has a lot of potential, but it’s definitely still in the early stages. The immersion is insane when it works, but there are still some challenges to overcome—like the price and comfort of the headsets, as well as motion sickness. That being said, I do think that as the technology advances, it’ll become much more mainstream. I’m personally really excited about VR’s potential for fully immersive worlds.
