It is an initiative of the North Eastern Council, Government of India implemented by NEDFi to create a State of the Art Resource Centre for Career and Livelihood for the youths of North East.

The key sections of Advancing North East Portal are Education, Employment and Entrepreneurship

It offers details of emerging careers, entrance exams, institutions available in North East, other states of India and different countries, fellowship, scholarship and educational loan.

The section offers insights about employment entrance for public sector jobs, updates regarding job vacancies, upskilling trends, employable skills, vocational skills, sector specific employment opportunities and skill needs to work abroad.

The section has model project profiles in agri business, manufacturing and service sector feasible in North East India, list of industry specific approvals to start business, government schemes and policies, market support agencies, infrastructure available, loan connect and success stories

The Resource Library has details of training and capacity building institutions, mentor and incubator connect, database of career coach available in North East, audio visual content for E-Learning

You can get connected to a mentor by clicking on “Connect with Mentor” segment at Home Page of the portal or by at “Ask a Question” segment at Entrepreneurship Mega Menu.

The portal has a loan search engine under Entrepreneurship segment where he/she can get information about major loan schemes supported by Govt. of India available for North East according to loan amount requirement.

The Farm Cost Calculator offers estimation of project cost according to specific need of the entrepreneur in the field of agriculture, animal husbandry and aquaculture.
