Indian bee or the honey bee, known by its scientific name is a brownish black, locally available domesticated Asiatic species. Honey is one of the valued food produced by the honey bee in the market. and it is beneficial for our health and also used in making medicine. National Bee Keeping and Honey Mission Scheme has been approved by the Central Government for the overall promotion and development of ‘Sweet Revolution’. In the Northeastern state of Nagaland, beekeeping was traditional hobby, which now have become an important source of commercial production.
