Silk Yarn Dyeing

The art of dyeing with natural sources is one of the oldest techniques known to mankind and India has a prosperous heritage for decorating textiles through dyeing with natural dyes. India is the hub of diverse natural resources and the highest numbers of dye yielding plants were available in North East India specially in Assam. Natural resources are used for extracting the dyes like insects, mineral components such as iron ore, plant or parts of a plant. These dyes are especially suitable for dyeing all varieties of Silk yarn.
