Mulberry Silk is the most popular silk available all over the world. India is the second largest producer of Mulberry silk. In the North Eastern states Mulberry is also produced along with the other wild silks. Mulberry silk yarn is widely used in the textile industry to produce Silk fabrics. It is the most popular silk and is highly in demand in the North Easter states. The quantity of Mulberry Silk produced is used locally in the Handlooms to weave fabrics which are very often known as Kecha pat. The buyer market for yarn mainly comprises of traders, weavers, master weavers, cluster executives, local distributers, manufacturing agents etc.
