Founder of Deisa Food Processing
Wanmon Tang, founder of Deisa Food Processing, a home-based business that makes cucumbers, jam, fruit wine, fruits and vegetables, etc., from Madankynsaw, Laskein Block, West Jaintia Hills District. She was inspired to start the project to prevent the destruction of indigenous fruits and vegetables. She hired four women and trained village women to empower them to work and earn their livelihood. Her advice for the female youths is to work with determination and to hold on to their passion.
