I am currently in the US on the J-1 Exchange Visitor Program and after a couple of months of being here, I realized that I dream of living here. I have already started looking into various options for obtaining permanent residency in the US and many people have done so thanks to the EB3 visa. Will I also be able to get an EB-3 visa and stay here?

Were you in the US for studies or some work? How did you manage to get this J-1 visa at all? I applied for it about ten years ago, but for some reason I was denied it.
